AH Engineering Consultants is seeking a Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our environmental practice. The role focuses on planning and design for municipal water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related improvements.

Candidates should have a civil or environmental engineering degree and 2–10 years of experience, with strong regulatory knowledge and proven ability to prepare plans, reports, and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–10 years of water/wastewater design experience.
• Experience with municipal systems design and costing.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of water and wastewater projects (treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines).
• Prepare or oversee engineering reports, specs, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Manage projects through design, bidding, and construction phases.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, subconsultants, and internal teams.
• Assist permitting and regulatory compliance for municipal projects.
• Participate in client meetings, proposals, and business development efforts.
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
