AH Engineering Consultants is a dynamic environmental engineering and consulting firm with offices across {Virginia and NC}. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 10+ years of water and wastewater design experience to lead municipal projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and regulators.

The successful candidate will have a PE license, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater engineering design experience.
• Municipal water and wastewater systems design experience.
• Ability to prepare plans, specifications, engineering reports, and design calculations.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare or oversee reports, specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
• Manage projects through design and provide support during bidding and construction phases.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff and contribute to team development.
• Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and business development efforts.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
• All other duties as required.
