Job summary

MacKay is seeking a dedicated Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on water treatment and process design, includes travel about 20%, and is open to candidates who can work remotely near client needs.

You will prepare analyses, drawings, specifications, and budgets for proposals, leveraging a BS in engineering and PE license. Preference for MS and certifications.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering with emphasis on water/wastewater design.
  • Colorado P.E. license required; P.E. in other southwestern states a plus.
  • 5–10 years of process design, construction and operations in municipal/industrial water treatment.
  • MS in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER and 40-hour MSHA certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with treatment plant operations.

Engineering Analytics, Inc., now part of MacKay, is seeking a dedicated, relationship-driven Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team. We are open to reviewing candidates based remotely and are able to support our clients. Proximity to a MacKay Branch office location is preferred. We offer a comfortable, collaborative work environment with flexible work arrangements. We’re serious about our work – but we’re serious about fun, too.

This engineer will be required to travel for about 20% of their time.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.

US Pay Range $105,000—$130,000 USD Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company’s 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.

MacKay pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual performance bonuses. Employment requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
