Join to apply for the Water/Wastewater Design Engineer role at WSP in the U.S.

WSP is seeking a Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our growing New England Water Practice in the Providence, Rhode Island Office. This role involves utilizing civil and water resource engineering expertise to support projects such as water distribution, wastewater collection, site/civil design, stormwater management, floodplain management, and resiliency planning.

Responsibilities include:

1. Design and planning for water and wastewater projects.
2. Preparing reports and documentation.
3. Performing GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D analyses.
4. Participating in project meetings with government officials.
5. Researching and applying regulatory requirements.
6. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.
7. Supporting work plan development and permitting.
8. Contributing to small- and medium-sized project development.
9. Completing training and adhering to ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of water resource engineering principles.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform field work and travel as needed.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Professional licensure or certification within 1 year.
• Participation in professional organizations.

Compensation: $65,400 - $107,910, based on experience and location.
