Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator to help design water and wastewater systems under supervision, perform analyses, and prepare project documentation. You will leverage BIM tools such as Revit and Civil 3D, participate in quality control, and collaborate with project teams in a highly employee-owned culture.

Preferred qualifications include an EIT certification and proficiency with Bluebeam PDF, with advancement opportunities through career development and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems.
• Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• EIT certificate; candidates without EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D experience.
• Bluebeam PDF software experience.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater systems and collection and distribution systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports, determine design methods and equipment sizing, and work with the owner.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
