Job summary

Dewberry Design-Builders Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project Executive to support and grow our design-build practice across the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic.

The role focuses on our Water/Wastewater division and offers a hybrid schedule with potential to expand into Energy, Federal, and MEPS projects. Ideal candidates have strong project delivery experience, and a track record of building client and subcontractor relationships across complex infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in water/WWTP or related field.
• Experience with design-build or alternative delivery projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and project partners.

Responsibilities

• Support business development and pursuit efforts, including proposal preparation and preconstruction coordination.
• Lead construction planning, estimating, pricing, and execution for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage day-to-day project activities across design and construction phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, field staff, and subcontractors.
• Support subcontractor identification, procurement, and contract administration.
• Review project contracts and assist in managing subcontract agreements and change orders.
• Partner with HSE teams to promote safety best practices across projects.
• Monitor project performance, including schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support collaboration across Dewberry offices and water practice teams.
