Job summary

GFT is seeking a Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer to join our Water Team in New Jersey. The role follows a hybrid work model, with regular attendance at one of our NJ offices.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, design, and construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems, including pump/lift stations. Requires a P.E. license in NJ and 4–10 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/mechanical/chemical engineering or related field.
• P.E. license in New Jersey.
• 4–10 years of related experience in water and/or wastewater conveyance.
• Proficiency with CAD, Civil 3D and Bentley.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems including pump/lift stations.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications; oversee construction administration.
• Develop cost estimates and schedules; ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines; support winning proposals and presentations.
