Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, TX seeks a Construction Manager to oversee infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality. You will coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver outcomes that meet deadlines and budgets.

The role leads project teams, mentors staff, and supports commissioning, startup, and owner training. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 6 years of progressive construction management experience.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated capability coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Lead project administration activities such as RFIs, submittals, change management, pay applications, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, agencies, and internal disciplines to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering, commissioning, startup, and owner training.
• Maintain and review project documentation and reporting to track progress, compliance, and risks.
• Directly supervise construction managers, inspectors, resident project representatives, field engineers, and field services personnel.
