Job summary

Skillforce, in collaboration with a construction leader, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee water and wastewater construction projects. The role will manage projects from preconstruction through turnover, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication.

The project location is Barnstable, MA, with work-from-home options and occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Water/wastewater projects experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, methods and processes.
• Experience managing budgets, costs, contracts, and subcontractor relationships.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership and collaboration across field and office teams.
• Experience supervising project teams with decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through final completion, startup and turnover.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
• Coordinate with field leadership to monitor progress, productivity, quality and schedule.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement, including contracts and subcontracts.
• Track procurement and ensure deliveries align with project needs.
• Review costs, revenue projections, pay applications and financial reports.
• Identify risks and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Maintain communication with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Lead or participate in project meetings and provide regular updates.
