McClelland Consulting Engineers, an ESP Company, is seeking a full-time CAD Technician to join its Water/Wastewater team in Fort Smith, Fayetteville, or Little Rock, AR. The role focuses on converting hand drawings into CAD drawings using Civil3D and AutoCAD, and maintaining CAD standards across the company.

The candidate will collaborate with engineers and project managers, learn new technologies, and contribute to high-quality civil and structural drawings while adhering to project

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting or Survey is required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, specifically Civil3D.
• Ability to create and modify assets, materials, and annotation for CAD design.
• Experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Optimize “best practices” for CAD design.
• Create and prepare detailed plans and/or scale drawings for civil engineering and structural engineering projects.
• Produce drawings in accordance with company CAD standards, specific project requirements and client preferences.
• Revise plans per redlines or review comments and communicate with engineer and/or project manager as needed.
• Open to learning and embracing new technologies to complete tasks related to job or assignment.
• Effectively communicate with all team members.
