Job summary

McKim & Creed seeks a CAD Designer for Water/Wastewater in Raleigh. You will draft and prepare construction documents, support the Water Business Unit and assist with design technologies to meet project goals.

The role requires a Civil AEC background with 3–5 years in water/wastewater projects, plus proficiency in Autodesk software, BIM 360, InfraWorks and related tools. You will collaborate with project teams and drive design quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Civil AEC career experience.
• Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in Civil infrastructure (Water/Wastewater).
• Software Proficiencies in Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam Revu and Adobe products.
• Technological zeal and a problem-solving attitude.
• People/Personal development, strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Engage with project leads and assist project teams with design and drafting.
• Support projects in the development and maintenance of their content.
• Maintain awareness of current and future project needs.
• Participate in the evaluation and testing of new design technology and workflows.
• Stay informed of the latest industry trends in design technology content creation and management.
