Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking an experienced Associate Director - Water/Wastewater to lead growth of our Water | Wastewater practice in Ohio and beyond. You will guide major public projects, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships while coordinating with regional leadership to expand services.

The role requires a PE license in Ohio (or ability to obtain within six months), 10+ years in water/wastewater engineering, and proven business development experience with public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
• PE license in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive water/wastewater/infrastructure engineering experience.
• 3–5 years of leading projects, teams, or functional groups in a consulting setting.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with public-sector water clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts and pursue opportunities with municipal, county, state, federal, and utility clients in Ohio and nearby regions.
• Provide executive-level oversight for water and wastewater projects including facilities, pump stations, and networks.
• Mentor and develop staff, promoting technical excellence and teamwork.
• Shape strategic growth of the Water | Wastewater practice across Ohio and Kentucky.
• Coordinate with marketing and leadership to expand client relationships and market strategies.
