Job summary

The City of Pendleton’s Public Works Department, Water Division, seeks a Utility Worker to maintain water supply facilities, booster stations, reservoirs, valves, hydrants and water meters; install water services and perform meter reading, re-reads, shut-offs and turn-ons. Duties range from manual labor to operating light and moderately heavy equipment.

Applicants must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment such as tractors and loaders safely.
• Work in all weather and willingness to overtime.
• Physically demanding: walking, bending, lifting.
• Pass criminal background check and obtain Class A CDL within 1 year of hire.
