Job summary

The City of Crestview is seeking a water utilities worker to install and maintain water lines, taps, and meters. Work is performed under supervision with after-hours and on-call duties required.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting emergencies, operating a light truck, and handling customer complaints while upholding professional standards with colleagues and clients. Some night and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Must perform moderate to heavy manual labor in water utility systems.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and maintenance duties on water utility lines and equipment such as taps and water meters.
• Troubleshoots and makes emergency repairs at all hours to water utilities.
• Operates light duty truck in delivering goods and equipment to field site.
• Investigates and adjusts complaints on water utility services.
• Represent the City professionally with colleagues and clients regardless of background.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with team members and supervisors.
• Some night and weekend work is required.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
