NewGen Strategies & Solutions is seeking a Water Utility Financial Analyst/Consultant to join our Water Practice. You will build financial models, analyze large data sets, and translate results into clear client-ready visuals and reports.

This entry-level role offers growth, nationwide exposure to water utilities, and a strong emphasis on Excel proficiency, data analytics, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a finance- or data-related role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with fundamental financial concepts (inflation, depreciation, discount rates, operating costs, capital planning, debt service coverage).

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models in Excel to forecast costs, revenues, and KPIs.
• Analyze large data sets to inform model development.
• Create data visualizations using charts and dashboards.
• Communicate results in written reports and PowerPoint presentations.
• Carry out quantitative and qualitative research to inform decisions.
• Develop subject matter expertise in water infrastructure while supporting other practices.
