The Utility Worker performs various maintenance tasks, understands water quality parameters, and complies with safety rules. Swing shift is 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• California State Water Distribution Operator II certification required.
• Good communication skills with supervisor, co-workers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform relief work and maintenance on meters and hydrants.
• Replace meters and meter boxes; maintain station equipment.
• Flush and maintain mains; operate valves as needed.
• Set, replace or remove larger meters and ensure proper operation.
• Notify for shutdowns and coordinate with operations.
• General maintenance of company facilities.
