Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Utility Service Worker Grade 9 to perform routine semiskilled work in installation, construction and repair of water utility lines and equipment. You will assist with hydrants, backflow devices, and general maintenance in a hands-on outdoor role.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of related experience, and a valid Georgia driver's license with potential CDL Class A as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of tenth grade level education required or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in construction/maintenance work involving plumbing, water distribution or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License; CDL Class A may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair water mains, hydrants, and backflow devices.
• Perform manual work including digging, pipe installation, and leak repair.
• Check equipment and supplies; transport materials to work sites.
• Operate basic construction machinery and vehicles used in water utility maintenance.
• Maintain records and prepare/review reports and work orders.
• Communicate information via telephone or radio and respond to service requests.
• Assist with errands, shop cleanliness, and support to other departments.
