Job summary

South Adams County Water and Sanitation District is seeking a field maintenance staff member in Henderson, Colorado. The role involves maintaining water, irrigation and wastewater pipelines, operating hydrants and valves, and performing vehicle operation tasks in support of reliable public services.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. CDL is a plus, and drug screening plus background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Experience in water/wastewater, utilities, construction or related field helpful.
• Colorado Distribution Certifications helpful.
• Solid knowledge of hand and power tools with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with MS Office and Outlook.

• Installs, repairs, replaces water, irrigation and wastewater system pipeline
• Operates and maintains fire hydrants, valves, and air vacuum assemblies
• Operates equipment such as backhoes, front end loaders, skidsters, tractors, and dump trucks
• Organizes and performs traffic and work zone safety
• Participates in the on-call rotation schedule and responds to emergencies as needed

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license, CDL a plus
• Experience in water/wastewater industry, utilities, construction or related field helpful
• State of Colorado Distribution Certifications helpful
• Solid knowledge in use of hand and power tools with strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
• Solid problem solving, troubleshooting and communication skills
• Solid ability to adapt to changing priorities, and working in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently and ability to work in changing weather conditions

Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.

Salary Range:$ 20.55-37.21/hr based on experience/certifications
