SCV Water in Santa Clarita is seeking a qualified finance professional with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline and at least two years of relevant financial experience.

The Financial Analyst will lead budgeting and long-range planning, perform forecasting and financial analysis, develop reports, and support rate studies. Strong Excel, data interpretation, and cross‑team collaboration are essential to enable sound municipal finance decisions.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing professional financial analysis or related duties.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or closely related field.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and municipal water finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparation of department budgeting and revenue requirements.
• Analyzes financial operations and forecasts future revenues and expenditures.
• Prepares financial and statistical reports and supporting documentation.
• Maintains financial records and revenue tracking systems; supports audits and rate studies.
• Interprets laws, regulations, and policies related to municipal finance and water utilities.
