Job summary

Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency seeks a qualified finance professional with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline and at least two years of financial experience. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, and advanced Microsoft Excel with strong collaboration across teams.

Preferred are budgeting experience, financial reporting/forecasting skills, and knowledge of municipal finance and water utility operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant financial experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparation of department’s budget and develops revenue requirements and rates.
• Analyzes financial operations and expenditures; prepares multi-year revenue/expense projections.
• Prepares financial and statistical reports and maintains records.
• Assists with annual audit and fee-related analyses.
• Establishes and maintains financial files and reporting systems.
