City of Ennis seeks a water system maintenanceworker to perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in water, sewer, and street maintenance. Responsibilities include installing meters, valves, and hydrants, locating underground utilities, and notifying customers of outages.

Position requires a High School diploma and 1 year of related experience, plus a valid Texas Class C license and potential to obtain Class B CDL within 1 year; may require TCEQ licenses within set timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of manual labor or related experience.
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license and ability to obtain Class B CDL within 1 year.
• TCEQ licenses (Wastewater Collection Class II or Water Operator Class D/C) within required timelines.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repair on water/wastewater distribution systems.
• Install and replace water mains, service lines, meters, valves, hydrants.
• Locate and mark existing mains and utilities for crews and contractors.
• Assist with traffic control and site safety, and respond to after-hours calls.
