Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of engineering experience as an Engineer in Training under supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer.
• License as a Professional Engineer with ability to become licensed in Minnesota within six months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of water distribution capital improvement projects.
• Coordinate projects across City departments, utilities, and regulatory agencies.
• Supervise staff and mentor team members on engineering methods and standards.
• Prepare project specifications and cost estimates for projects up to twenty million dollars.
• Review plans for conformance with standards and city specifications.
• Investigate and respond to citizen complaints and public inquiries.
