Job summary

City of Arlington is seeking a maintenance technician to assist with water infrastructure tasks, including meter replacements, pipe repairs, AMI system maintenance, and fire hydrant work. The role involves supporting field crews with flow tests, leak investigations, and basic service repairs for approximately 150,000 meters in Arlington.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Texas Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement within 6 months.

Qualifications

Proficient in MS Office and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist with meter replacements, pipe repairs, AMI system maintenance, and hydrant work.
Support field crews in recording flow tests and leak investigations.
Perform basic service repairs on water infrastructure and meters for Arlington's system.
Operate equipment and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Maintain proper PPE and safety protocols on outdoor sites.
