Job summary
The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to support water utility operations. This entry-level role assists in installation, maintenance and repair of motors, panels, switches, controllers and related equipment in low voltage environments.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 1–2 years in electrical or instrumentation work; CWEA certification is desirable.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of full-time experience in installing, maintaining, and/or repairing complex electrical and electronic equipment and devices common to a large waterworks system and wastewater treatment plant or three years of experience in an electrical apprenticeship program.
- CWEA Electrical Instrumentation certification is desirable.
