Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams and process drawings.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E safety practices and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, digital, and analog control equipment and systems.
• Operates, maintains, calibrates, and repairs testing instruments to verify instrument accuracy.
• Maintains records and prepares reports of maintenance and repair activities.
• Reads and interprets schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop sheets and specifications.
• Orders and tracks parts and materials required for maintenance.
• Instructs apprentices or junior staff to develop technical proficiency and safe work practices.
• Performs trade-related mathematical calculations for sizing and calibration.
• Maintains shop areas and tools to ensure safety and organization.
• Drives to sites to inspect installations and verify compliance with design and safety standards.
