Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Tulsa, OK is hiring a Water Truck Driver to join our team. Must have a Class A or Class B CDL and be willing to perform laborer tasks. Duties include operating the water truck, performing safety checks, and training new employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years as a Street Sweeper Operator.
• Class A or Class B CDL required.
• Willing to perform laborer work.
• Must be a team player with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work safely under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexible for overtime and possible weekends.
• Good depth perception and eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Proper machine start-up, operation, and shutdown knowledge.
• Operate the Water Truck safely and efficiently.
• Follow supervisor directions for work area requirements.
• Fill truck tank with water.
• Spray water in designated areas.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Water Truck.
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction-related duties as required.

Position_Description :

Water Truck Driver responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
2. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.

1. High School diploma/GED.
2. Have a minimum of 2 years of Street Sweeper Operator experience.
3. Must have a Class A or Class B- CDL.
4. Willing to do laborer work.

6. Motivated self-starter and ability to manage multiple tasks.
7. Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
8. Frequent cross body movements such as bending, climbing into equipment, lifting (up to 75lbs), twisting, standing, balancing, stooping, handling materials, moving around hazardous sites.
9. Good Eye to Hand coordination a must. Depth perception required.
10. Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends.
11. Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken works and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
