Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Water Truck Operator in Denver, CO to support essential on-site dust control and soil stabilization. You will operate a water truck, perform routine inspections, and coordinate with supervisors and crew to maintain safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, experience with water trucks or heavy equipment, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and willingness to overtime or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Experience operating a water truck is preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely on a construction site.

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a water truck on construction sites and public roadways.
• Apply water for dust control and soil compaction as directed by supervisors.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Monitor water levels and refill the truck as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inspection and maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and crew members.
• Assist with general labor duties when water truck operation is not required.
• Report equipment issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk on uneven terrain.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
• Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and changing weather conditions.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skill level.
