Job summary

CECO Environmental, including Kemco Systems, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer for water treatment systems in Clearwater, FL. You will design, size, and optimize RO/UF and related processes, support customers and partners, and drive project success.

The role blends engineering with sales, requiring 5+ years in water treatment, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 50% for site work and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
• Minimum five years of experience in water treatment or related field.
• Experience with commercial or industrial water treatment systems.
• Ability to interpret water analysis and apply findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and size water treatment systems (RO, UF, filtration, water softening).
• Analyze water quality data and propose treatment solutions.
• Perform startup, commissioning, optimization, and operator training.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, process, and operational issues in water treatment equipment.
• Conduct field testing and evaluate system performance.
• Prepare commissioning docs and technical reports.
• Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and drawings.
• Serve as a technical resource during customer meetings and site visits.
• Support business development through technical consultation and proposals.
• Assist with customer presentations and equipment recommendations.
• Develop relationships with customers, distributors, engineers, and partners.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades and additional services.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Service, and Project Management.
• Maintain accurate project and customer records in company systems.
• Provide technical updates and market insights for planning and growth.
