Job summary

City of Arlington's JFK Water Treatment Plant is seeking a Treatment Technician to monitor and operate the city's treatment processes and distribution system under general supervision.

You will perform observations, analyses, SCADA-driven adjustments, and laboratory testing; maintain databases and reports; and coordinate with maintenance staff to meet regulatory goals and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of general college courses including Math, Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• One year of operational experience in water treatment or equivalent.
• Possession of Texas Operator's Licenses, Class C.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate treatment and distribution systems to ensure regulatory compliance and goals.
• Operate plant computer systems and manual controls; observe and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain databases and prepare regulatory reports.
• Coordinate maintenance and communicate status to others.
