Qualifications

  • Two years of general college courses including Math, Science, Computer Science, or Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2.5 years of progressive experience in Water Treatment.
  • Possession of valid Texas Operator's license, class C.
  • Possession of a Class "B" Surface Water Operator license or higher from TCEQ.
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes, safety procedures, and basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate the city's treatment and distribution system to meet regulatory goals.
  • Make adjustments using plant computer systems and manual controls.
  • Maintain instrumentation, databases, and generate regulatory reports.
  • Perform training, work order management, and plant process optimization tasks.
