Job summary

McCardel Culligan is seeking a Service & Installation Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial water treatment systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure customers get the most from their water systems.

Role blends hands-on technical work with customer service, offering training and opportunities for growth within a supportive team environment in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or related mechanical field preferred but not required; training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work daily.
• Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair Culligan water treatment equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose mechanical or operational issues.
• Conduct water quality testing and recommend appropriate treatment solutions.
• Educate customers on operation, maintenance, and benefits of their systems.
• Complete service documentation accurately using company systems.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, customer-focused attitude on every call.
• Follow safety standards and installation procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, office staff, and team members.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
