Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years’ experience in water treatment plant operations.
• Must hold a valid Florida Class A Water Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment process by visual observation and lab testing.
• Adjust chemicals to meet treatment requirements.
• Maintain operations logs and record test results for state reports.
• Oversee operation of plant equipment (pumps, controls) for proper function.
• Maintain system pressure by monitoring control boards.
• Coordinate after-hours emergency call-outs per procedures.
• Perform maintenance and custodial duties on shift at main and remote sites.
• Supervise Operator Trainees and Utility Maintenance Workers on shift.
