Job summary

Seminole County is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to manage operations of the treatment facility and ensure potable water meets regulatory standards. The role includes daily process control, laboratory analyses, and coordination with maintenance teams.

The position requires SCADA experience, chemistry knowledge, and a valid Florida DEP license. Strong communication skills and availability for on-call duties are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida DEP Water Treatment Plant Operator License (Class C/B/A).
• Knowledge of SCADA, chemistry and water treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex water treatment plant including ozone, ion exchange and carbon adsorption.
• Perform daily procedures, lab/field analyses and calibrations.
• Maintain logs, records and reports for process control and compliance.
• Respond to emergencies, on-call duties and customer concerns.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to resolve issues.
