Hazen and Sawyer in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Water Treatment Project Engineer to support project engineering and management for water treatment and potable reuse projects across Arizona and the Southwest, with opportunities nationwide as needed. The ideal candidate holds a civil/environmental engineering degree, a PE license, 5–12 years of municipal water experience, and strong communication, planning, and design skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering.
• PE license.
• 5-12 years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with staff, clients, and regulators.
• Self-starter with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Project engineering/management, design, planning, and operational support with focus on water treatment/reuse.
• Mentor junior drinking water staff.
• Coordinate with clients and internal technical specialists for project delivery.
• Support projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Follow Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects.
