Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5 years of experience in process/production engineering or plant operation.
• Ability to obtain Kentucky Class IV-A operator license within 18 months.
• Hazardous Materials certificate or ability to obtain within 24 months.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-level support for process and production projects at treatment plants and pumping stations.
• Propose and manage capital projects to improve production efficiency.
• Provide on-site management of contractors performing engineering activities.
• Develop procedures and tasks for operators to ensure compliance and reliable operations.
• Develop and implement training programs for water production personnel and safety requirements.
• Interface with hydraulics, engineering, and water quality teams on treatment and equipment issues.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new policies and practices.
• Investigate and resolve production problems, including equipment and data discrepancies.
• Respond to water production emergencies and develop procedures to prevent recurrence.
• Manage chemical inventory, specifications, supplier coordination, and deliveries.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling and serve as backup for Maintenance Supervisors.
• Audit and approve reports; support performance measurement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and water quality standards.
• Develop and manage a $3.3 million chemical inventory budget.
• Assist with training on safe operation of equipment and chemical hazards.
