Job summary

Harlingen Waterworks System is hiring a senior supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance and reliability of two water treatment facilities. You will ensure safe drinking water, supervise staff, and enforce regulatory and safety standards in coordination with district leadership.

The role requires extensive experience in water plant operations, strong knowledge of SCADA and Actiflo systems, and the ability to plan, supervise, and report on plant performance with an emphasis on efficiency

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• B.S. Degree in water production, environmental engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair water treatment facilities to meet regulatory requirements and water quality standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance per schedules.
• Provide guidance to personnel and ensure compliance with safety procedures and reporting requirements.
