Job summary

The City of Temple is seeking a dedicated Water Plant Operator to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the water treatment plant, distribution system, and storage facilities. You will work under supervision and must be available for a 24-hour facility schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include operating SCADA, adjusting chemical feeds, performing lab duties, recording logs, assisting with inspections, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A Surface Water Licensing from TCEQ is required.
• Experience with water treatment processes and lab duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot water treatment plant and distribution systems.
• Use SCADA to control processes and adjust chemical feeds.
• Perform laboratory duties, collect samples and maintain records.
• Assist with inspections, maintenance and safety compliance.
