Job summary

Woodard & Curran in Defiance, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Defiance water treatment plant. The role focuses on daily plant maintenance, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, and valves.

The position requires monitoring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining logs, analyzing samples, and supporting a capital project to add a new clarifier. A Missouri driver license is required; a wastewater/water license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Missouri Water treatment plant operator’s license preferred.
• A valid Missouri motor vehicle operator's license.
• Ability to operate and maintain water treatment equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitors plant operations to ensure adherence to all State and Federal regulations.
• Collects and analyzes samples from water treatment and TSS samples.
• Responds to emergency situations as required or in accordance with emergency operations plan.
• Maintains and keeps current State operator’s license.
• Maintains stock of chemicals used.
