Job summary

Covina Valley Water Company is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to perform daily rounds and operate treatment facilities, ensuring safe and compliant water delivery. You will monitor gauges, manage pumps and valves, and maintain accurate logs.

On-call duties occur for one week every three weeks, including weekends and holidays. A CA driver’s license and progression toward Grade IV certifications are required. Pairing with a supervisor supports safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in operation of water treatment facilities.
• HS diploma or GED; AS degree preferred.
• Valid CA driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Grade IV Treatment certification within 12 months.
• Ability to obtain Grade IV Distribution certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of water treatment plants and maintain proper operation.
• Operate facilities to control flow and disinfection of water.
• Monitor plant functions via gauges, meters and control panels.
• Record test results and maintain logs for reports.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, with after-hours assignments when on-call.
