Job summary

Henderson Water Utility is seeking a Water Treatment Operator I to operate and maintain a water treatment plant producing potable water. You will work with management and fellow staff, monitor instruments, and perform routine maintenance and sampling.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain KYDOW Class IIIA within 24 months and Class IVA within 36 months. Regular 12-hour shifts with day and night options are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain KYDOW Class IIIA certification within 24 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain KYDOW Class IVA certification within 36 months of hire and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the water treatment plant to produce potable water.
• Work with Water Treatment Manager and other staff to follow procedures and make informed decisions.
• Monitor chemical feeds, gauges, meters, and control panels; adjust as needed.
