American Water is seeking a Treatment Plant Operator to operate, maintain and inspect the water treatment plant and related facilities in Kentucky. The role requires a Kentucky Class IV-A Water Treatment Operator license and hands-on supervision of dewatering and solids handling processes.

You will monitor chemical feeds, run laboratory tests, record data, and ensure regulatory compliance through SCADA and field measurements.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a Kentucky Class IV-A Water Treatment Operator license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to pass physical examination, drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and work shifts including nights and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Operate, monitor and control water treatment and solids handling equipment.
• Perform routine tests and monitor chemical feeds; adjust pumps as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of plant operations and test results.
• Perform preventative maintenance on belts, pumps, basins and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations through sampling and analysis.
• Operate and troubleshoot SCADA to manage plant processes.
