Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps and pump motors.
• Assist in maintenance of valves, clarifier and screen house systems, and chlorination equipment.
• Operate equipment such as pumps, bar screens, clarifiers, digesters, sludge pumps, aerators, chlorinators, and control panels.
• Take readings of temperature, electric meters, weather conditions, and sludge quantities.
• Check equipment for malfunctions and ensure safe, clean work areas.

Job description

• The candidate will diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, perform repairs and maintenance, and ensure the optimal performance of water and wastewater treatment systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and repair pumps and pump motors.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of other mechanical equipment such as valves, clarifier and screen house systems, and chlorination equipment.
• Assists in the operation of equipment such as pumps, bar screens, clarifiers, digestors, sludge pumps, aerators, chlorinators, and control panels.
• Make readings and recordings of temperature, electric meters, weather conditions, and quantity of sludge removed.
• Check operating equipment for malfunctions.
• Performs general maintenance required to keep working areas safe, clean, and neat.
