Veolia is seeking an Operations Engineering intern to join the Dayton Service Center. You will learn about day-to-day operations, unit processes for water treatment, and collaborate with SDI Plant, Team Services, and Mobile Units to identify improvements.

You will participate in projects under development, gain hands-on experience with ion exchange resin regeneration, ISO quality systems, and equipment used in water treatment.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, other related technical disciplines.
• Strong organizational and communicationskills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks at hand.

Responsabilidades

• Understand the operational processes of the ion exchange resin regeneration plant (SDI Plant) and identify operational improvements, providing technical support to implement solutions.
• Understand ISO quality system of SDI plant, and participate with the Plant Manager to identify improvements in the plant and administrative processes.
• Learn unit processes for water treatment (filtration, ultrafiltration, ion exchange and reverse osmosis) and become familiar with mobile units for water treatment; provide technical support to the Manager of Mobile Units to identify improvements and participate in implementation of solutions.
• Provide technical support to the Technical Services Team to promote solutions to customer needs in water treatment, control and instrumentation, electrical or mechanical.
• Engage with the extended DSC team and equipment suppliers to facilitate design and execution of solutions.
