Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Vandalia, OH is seeking an Operations Engineering Intern to learn the operational activities of the Dayton Service Center and to work with cross-functional teams on improving water treatment processes.

You will explore ion exchange resin regeneration, ISO quality systems, and unit processes (filtration, ultrafiltration, ion exchange, RO) while supporting Mobile Units and the Technical Services Team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good technical writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand the operational processes of the ion exchange resin regeneration plant (SDI Plant) and identify improvements.
• Understand the ISO quality system of the SDI plant and assist the Plant Manager with improvements.
• Learn unit processes for water treatment and support the Mobile Units with improvements.
• Provide technical support to the Technical Services Team to address customer needs in water treatment, controls, or instrumentation.
• Engage with the DSC team and suppliers to facilitate design and execution of solutions.
