Job summary

American Water is seeking a Production Mechanic I in Delran, New Jersey. The role offers a starting wage of $35.78 per hour with potential annual incentives and contracted increases under the union agreement. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass motor vehicle background check.
• May be required to pass OSHA medical examination and obtain a T-1 within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to equipment and facilities, including pumps, piping, lubrication, and testing equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain control systems; troubleshoot software/hardware as needed.
• Keep water treatment facilities and grounds in good condition per company standards.
• Prioritize and coordinate tasks for safe, reliable operation of treatment facilities.
• Receive and handle chemicals following safety standards.
