Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Laboratory Technician for its Spring Hill, FL site. The role focuses on developing procedures and performing tests for water and wastewater treatment operations, including jar tests, silt density index, and pilot-scale evaluations.

Responsibilities include operating small-scale equipment, preparing samples and reagents, conducting pH, DO, color, and other lab tests, and maintaining calibration and SDS records. This is a fully onsite contract position with shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory procedures and QA in water treatment.
• Ability to follow detailed lab SOPs and safety data sheets.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word for data handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lab procedures for water/wastewater tests.
• Perform jar tests to optimize chemical dosing.
• Conduct silt density index and pilot-scale evaluations.
• Operate small-scale lab equipment and prepare samples/reagents.
• Maintain calibration records and SDS documentation.
• Pull samples for third-party analyses and manage lab inventory.
