Job summary

Culligan in Midland, TX is seeking a Service & Installation Technician to install water softeners and filtration systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support both commercial and residential clients. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, plumbing and electrical familiarity, and willingness to be on-call.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and 5–10 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license required; water licensing preferred; plumbing licenses preferred.
• Basic plumbing and electrical experience.
• Experience in Plumbing, Water Treatment, Industrial Operations, or Mechanical Field Service is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn and operate field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides general onsite and offsite equipment installation, service, start-up, commissioning, testing, and training for water treatment equipment across industries.
• Meets field service goals, ensures timely equipment start-ups, and manages onsite time and material costs.
• Supports Service Manager on the shop floor with refurbishments and testing for final delivery or inventory storage.
• Locates problems by observing operations and using testing instruments; replaces defective parts and tests operation.
• Maintains equipment and supplies on the truck, monitors inventory levels, and ensures readiness.
