Job summary

ECC is seeking an Operations Specialist to support groundwater treatment plant operations and field technical services. The role requires regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, and troubleshooting of SCADA and instrumentation.

Ideal candidates will have a groundwater or wastewater operator’s license or the ability to obtain a Maryland Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License within 1 year of hire, plus four years of related experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience supporting environmental or construction projects.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience as an environmental technician or plant operator performing field sampling and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field technical services for groundwater treatment facilities.
• Review project specs and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Identify and evaluate vendors; develop purchase orders.
• Calibrate instrumentation and troubleshoot process variances.
• Learn system SCADA, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Maintain budgets and schedules for assigned tasks.
• Prepare field reports, logs, and submittals accurately and timely.
