Job summary

JW Environmental is seeking a skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to ensure reliable delivery of clean water to hospitals, commercial properties, and facilities across Maryland. You will operate and maintain advanced treatment systems, manage dosing, and coordinate with the Operations Supervisor to maintain regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Class T2 or T4 certification, strong problem-solving abilities, and teamwork in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Certification: Active Class T2 or T4 Water Treatment Operator Certification from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and technologies.
• Experience with chemical injection and ion exchange systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment systems to deliver clean water to critical facilities.
• Adjust process controls and chemical dosing for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Document operations and ensure compliance with Maryland regulations.
• Collaborate with team to improve system efficiency and reliability.
