Job summary

WesTech Engineering, LLC. is seeking an Applications Engineer 2 to support estimation efforts and proposal creation for Water Treatment projects. You will bid water treatment plants with equipment, compile engineering documentation for bids, and collaborate with vendors.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple people across teams. Pre-employment screenings may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, biological, or chemical engineering (or equivalent).
• 1–2+ years related experience expected.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of chemistry and physics.

Responsibilities

• Review or create specifications for equipment and customers; develop equipment specs.
• Prepare, maintain, and review technical drawings and P&IDs.
• Organize, prepare, and review Water Treatment proposals.
• Perform basic project-related calculations and respond to technical clarifications.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager to develop sales strategies.
• Conduct technical sales presentations with customers.
• Coordinate with vendors and interdepartmental applications engineers.
• Communicate project scope to Project Managers and Designers.
• Peer review of bids.
